No One Lives Twice introduces 25-year old Lexi Carmichael, who is a brainy, but klutzy techie for the National Security Agency. Her ho-hum existence involves cracking code for the U.S. government, avoiding her mother and finding a social life outside her computer. But when her best friend goes missing and gun-toting thugs start appearing regularly at her door, her life takes a dramatically exciting turn. Before long she is swept up into a dangerous matter of international intrigue involving a sexy government agent, a young gorgeous, Irish billionaire, and lots and lots of bad guys.
Lexi Carmichael, geek extraordinaire, is back in her next thrilling adventure involving the disappearance of Darren Greening, the brilliant but difficult brainchild of a multi-million dollar energy research company. Darren’s research is so critical to the company that the investors have taken out a 25 million dollar insurance policy on their star employee. When Darren vanishes unexpectedly, Flow Technologies turns to Lexi and the gang to recover their “intelligence investment.” They soon discover the ramifications of Darren’s disappearance go far beyond Flow Technologies. It will take all of Lexi’s skill and help from her friends to find Darren and stop a technological threat so astonishing, it could change the very fabric of society.
Me and the legendary Zimmerman twins–it’s a friendship made in geek heaven. And it all started back when I worked for the NSA…
My best friend Basia dragged me to the beach for her idea of a vacation. All those annoying people, sand in embarrassing places–not exactly R & R for a girl who doesn’t like the sun, the ocean or bathing suits. I couldn’t wait to get back to work.
Italy might seem like a long way to go to hide after a disastrous date. But when sexy uberhacker Slash (no, that’s not his real name) asks me to go with him to Rome on an investigation, the timing is sort of perfect. My messed up love life becomes the least of my worries though, after the dead body, the near-kidnapping, and the discovery of a top-secret encrypted file that even I can’t hack.
With time running out, there’s only one thing to do: call in the legendary Zimmerman twins and my best fluent-in-Italian friend, Basia, to crack the code. Now if only someone could help me solve the mystery of whether Slash is flirting, or if all the kissing is just one of those “when in Rome” things…
But when we finally uncover the secret someone would kill to keep, it’s up to me to solve the case and save the lives of my best friends.
Just another week in the life of geek-girl Lexi Carmichael.

Lexi Carmichael: Helping Geeks Everywhere Get Some
Okay, so it’s not exactly as it seems, but that’s what is happening on the dating reality television show called “Geeks Get Some” that I, Lexi Carmichael geek extraordinaire, am called to work on. Not that I’m a fan of reality shows (I can barely deal with my own reality), yet I’ve been sent to Hollywood to find a hacker who’s screwing with the results of the show’s online voting system.
So what happens when I get there? Well, the producers convince me to continue my investigation from the inside. What should be an easy hunt for the hacker turns ugly when he sets his sights on me. Add to that a studio obsessed with ratings, a bunch of nerdy contestants, and my own confusing love life, and unraveling this mystery might make me a star—or get me killed.
Catch up with Lexi in No One Lives Twice, No One to Trust, No Money Down, No Place Like Rome!
Returning to high school is not something I ever wanted to do over—it was awful the first time around. So why do I have to go back as part of a new undercover assignment? Because the universe loves playing jokes on me, obviously.
I've been ordered to go all 21 Jump Street and track down the students who are breaking into the computer system, changing grades, and causing all kinds of havoc. Although I'm not thrilled about my new gig, at least it gives me something to do other than worry over the fact that I now have a boyfriend. And no freaking idea what to get him for Christmas.
Or it did give me something else to worry about, until I stumbled across a more sinister threat. I was shocked to find distinct traces of a group of international hackers inside the network. Why would dangerous cyber mercenaries be interested in a high school in the middle of Washington, D.C.? What exactly have I gotten myself into?
My mother's life goal has been to see me, geek extraordinaire Lexi Carmichael, happily married. So bringing my first boyfriend, Slash, home for dinner has me hyperventilating. Things get a lot worse when bullets start flying over our corn chowder.
Now the entire alphabet soup of government agencies want my help finding the man behind the attack--Johannes Broodryk, a cyber mercenary I foiled on my last case. He wants revenge and he's taken something of mine to ensure I'll play, so it's game on. But the government has its own agenda, and Slash is not on board with the plan. Things are a bit bumpy in paradise.
Although I'm more comfortable with computer code than commandos, I've been assigned a team of Navy SEALs to help bring Broodryk down. The question is, will they survive me long enough to solve his cryptic puzzles and save the day?
Trouble follows me, Lexi Carmichael, like a little black cloud. At least according to my boyfriend, Slash: brilliant hacker, national treasure and vault of secrets. Even I have to admit he could be right.
After a series of high-profile cases at my cyberintelligence firm, I was looking forward to a simple job. All I had to do was personally deliver a revolutionary microchip to a manufacturing plant in Indonesia. Easy, right? Wrong.
Someone else wants the design and is willing to kill to get it. A failed hijacking attempt lands me, my best friend Basia and our boss, Finn, in the middle of the jungle. Our mission is clear: protect the microchip design from the hijackers on our tail...and survive. But how can a geek girl like me survive without access to my beloved technology? I’m about to find out. And this time, there’s no room for error.
Leave it to me, Lexi Carmichael, to become a target for an elite organization of cyber criminals simply by being in the wrong place at the right time. As if I weren't already freaking out about planning my best friend's bachelorette party, I now have to keep my eyes peeled for people trying to kill me.
After accidentally intercepting a dangerous hack into the NSA and discovering the involvement of a foreign country in said hack, things begin to get seriously complicated. Diplomats, danger and spies, oh, my!
With Slash and my loyal friends by my side, I'm in a race against time to stop a team of sophisticated hackers on a deadly mission. My team of geeks is brilliant…but derailing an international plot for revenge will take everything we've got.
Although I never expected it, my work as a computer geek has me travelig around the world, solving mysteries and fighting bad guys. Sometimes with my friends, but always with trouble by my side. So you'd think by now, I would've expected to be plagued by danger when I headed to Egypt with my best friend, Elvis Zimmerman, and boyfriend, Slash, to help track down Elvis's missing and estranged father. Nope.
Genius runs in the family, and we quickly discovered Elvis's father is hot on the trail of an ancient and elusive artifact. One that people are willing to kill to find. Tombs, tablets, scarabs, and code come together as we follow a set of clues that has been waiting millenia to be discovered. Cracking code is my speciality, but I never expected to tackle one from fifteen hundred years before the advent of written language.
But the sands of time are running out. We are facing death as it was before the pyramids even existed. If the artifact falls into the wrong hands, we won't be able to rewrite history. So it's up to us to find and safeguard the secret to ensure no living soul ever encounters it...again.
Lexi Carmichael is a twenty-five-year-old geek extraordinaire. As a child, she excelled in all sorts of math and now works as a computer techie for the National Security Agency. A disappointment to her gorgeous mother, a former Miss Virginia Colonial Blossom, Lexi has ordinary looks and not-so-brilliant social skills to go with her super-charged brain. Her biggest thrills in life are doing the daily crossword puzzle in the Washington Post and a long- standing addiction to everything to do with Dunkin’ Donuts.
Slash is the ultra-sexy government agent/uberhacker who is so critical to American national security that he is protected around-the-clock by a team of FBI agents. No one knows his real name and he admits only to being Italian by birth. As Lexi soon discovers, Slash is a man of many, many hidden talents. Smoldering, darkly sensual and a highly finessed hacker, Lexi can’t help being attracted to him. In return, Slash seems to be fascinated by her. Could this be a match made in hacker heaven or has Lexi got her signals all mixed up?
He’s the best-looking laywer Lexi has ever met. Emerald green eyes, a body to die for and a litling Irish accent that melts her to her toes. Not to mention, he’s really, really really, rich. He’s Lexi’s best link to her missing friend, Basia, but he seems to have another agenda– seduction. Can she trust him or should she throw caution to the wind and live in the moment?
Elvis and Xavier Zimmerman are two of Lexi’s closest friends. Genius twins with IQs off the scale, the two super geeks were the foremost architects and protectors of the U.S. government’s most sensitive computer networks, including the National Security Agency’s. Now working for a private company, the twins are multi-millionaires, but like Lexi, often miss the subtleties of social niceties. Xavier has a long-standing crush on Lexi’s best friend, Basia; and according to Xavier, Elvis has the hots for Lexi, although how either of them would ever act on it is a true mystery.
Basia is Lexi’s best friend. They were roommates at Georgetown University where Lexi studied mathematics and Basia studied linguistics. Basia is pretty, petite and always attracting oodles of good-looking guys. She is a real free-spirit, speaks a dozen languages, and loves anything to do with clothes, shopping and guys. Lexi always wonders how they became such good friends as they are polar opposites. Basia has her own freelance translation business and works part-time with Berlitz (the guys with the nifty little translation books in every language under the sun).
